Larger saltwater pools up to 50m³ can be cleaned with a PURION 2501 P in an ecologically safe way. In order to take full advantage of the health benefits of a saltwater pool, cleaning must also be geared to health aspects. The classic variant of pool cleaning by chlorine contradicts this awareness, because the advantages that a salt water pool has for the skin are cancelled out by the disadvantages of chlorine. In contrast, the PURION 2501 P cleans with the help of the UV-C disinfection process. In this process, the pool water is illuminated with UV-C, which dissolves the DNA compounds of bacteria and algae. As a result, the saltwater pool remains free of algae and can become an oasis of well-being. The PURION 2501 P does not change the taste or smell of the water. Unlike cleaning with chlorine, the composition of the water does not change. A saltwater pool should be cared for with the same care that people give themselves by buying such a pool.
Due to a wide voltage ballast, this unit is designed for a voltage range of 85-264V and can thus be used in many different countries. The plant is equipped with a Euro plug and can also be used with an adapter (not included) for other types of plugs.
The UV-C lamp has a natural power loss over its lifetime. We guarantee that after 10,000 hours the lamp will have reached exactly the promised flow rate. After this time the lamp must be changed, the lamp runtime meter and the lifetime monitoring (OTC) will signal the right time. The hours that the lamp is on are counted and the values are output via an LED display. Up to 9,000 hours a green LED lights up, between 9,000 and 10,000 hours the pre-alarm is indicated by a yellow LED and after 10,000 hours a red LED lights up. Thus, the right time to change the lamp is not missed.
The PVC reactor makes this unit suitable for salt water. Since the welding seams of stainless steel are attacked by the salt, there is no alternative to PVC for saltwater applications.
In order to keep a pool permanently free of algae, the correct coordination between pump and UV-C system is necessary. At least three times the pool content should flow through the UV-C system during the day. The maximum flow rate of 14m³/h should not be exceeded, as this will result in the water no longer being disinfected correctly. In certain cases it is necessary to let the system run longer: This is urgently required, for example, after major rainfall or if the water has been in the pool over the winter.
In case of an unfavorable initial situation with a lot of algae, it can be advantageous to use a biological flocculant to support the UV-C system.
In addition to the system, this bundle also includes another replacement lamp, the matching mounting frame and a service kit for intensive cleaning.
