Liquids such as coolant and lubricant emulsions as well as fuels can easily tip over and spoil. This can damage machinery, for example by clogging fine nozzles with mold or algae particles. Harmful chemicals are often used to prevent this, but this is not only harmful to the environment but also expensive. These high-density liquids can be reliably disinfected by UV-C radiation with the PURION 500 Pro system. The liquid film thickness is only 2mm, which means that UV performance does not suffer even with low UV transmission. Service water can be disinfected at 300 l/h, emulsions at 200 l/h. PURION 500 can be maintained without tools, which concerns both cleaning and the installation of spare parts.
In this configuration, the Pro unit has no monitoring, it is only indicated when the lamp has a failure. It should be noted that the lamp must be replaced after 10,000 hours. Within these 10,000 hours, the lamp always has an output of at least 60%. With this output, the promised disinfection performance can be maintained.
