With a PURION 1000 PVC-U, the health-promoting benefits of a saltwater pool can be fully enjoyed. Salt water is very gentle on the skin, it protects the skin from drying out and is very beneficial for the mucous membranes of the eyes. Therefore, especially in this particular form of the pool cleaning with chlorine is absolutely not appropriate. The advantages that come from salt water are cancelled out by the disadvantages that cleaning with chlorine brings. The method of UV-C cleaning with the PURION 1000 P is ecologically and economically much better in this case. UV-C light dissolves the DNA bonds of algae and bacteria, so that they are considered dead. With the PURION 1000 P, the UV-C cleaning process can be used for a pool up to 10m³. In doing so, the composition of the water - unlike the use of chlorine - is not changed in any way. Especially for a product as valuable to health as a saltwater pool, it is therefore absolutely necessary to clean the pool in a way that is compatible with health.
Due to a wide voltage ballast, this unit is designed for a voltage range of 85-264V and can thus be used in many different countries. The system is equipped with a Euro plug and can also be used for other types of plugs with an adapter (not included).
The UV-C lamp has a natural power loss over its lifetime. We guarantee that after 10,000 hours the lamp will have reached exactly the promised flow rate. After this time the lamp must be changed, the lamp runtime meter and the lifetime monitoring (OTC) will signal the right time. The hours that the lamp is on are counted and the values are output via an LED display. Up to 9,000 hours a green LED lights up, between 9,000 and 10,000 hours the pre-alarm is indicated by a yellow LED and after 10,000 hours a red LED lights up. Thus, the right time to change the lamp is not missed.
The PVC reactor makes this unit suitable for salt water. Since the welding seams of stainless steel are attacked by the salt, there is no alternative to PVC for saltwater applications.
In order to keep a pool permanently free of algae, the correct coordination between pump and UV-C system is necessary. At least three times the pool content should flow through the UV-C system during the day. The maximum flow rate of 3m³/h should not be exceeded, as this will result in the water no longer being disinfected correctly. In certain cases it is necessary to let the system run longer: This is urgently required, for example, after major rainfall or if the water has been in the pool over the winter.
In case of an unfavorable initial situation with a lot of algae, it can be advantageous to use a biological flocculant to support the UV-C system.
In addition to the system, this bundle also includes another replacement lamp, the matching mounting frame and a service kit for intensive cleaning.
