The PURION 1000 H can be used to specifically kill legionella in a hot water circuit based on the physical principle of UV-C disinfection. In this type of disinfection, the water is illuminated with UV-C light, which dissolves DNA compounds. Legionella are thus reliably killed, better and above all more efficiently than with other methods. Especially in power-saving systems, such as when water is heated by a solar panel with heat exchanger, borderline temperature ranges of 40-50°C are reached, in which Legionella feel very comfortable. The popular but extremely expensive trick of heating the water to 70°C makes little sense here, as the electricity savings from the solar panel are thus rendered superfluous. To avoid this expensive solution, UV-C disinfection is the obvious choice. Due to a very energy-saving lamp with an extraordinarily long service life, additional money can be saved here. Even an application in single family houses with up to 6 persons pays off. With the PURION 1000 H you can be sure not to contract any disinfection disease caused by legionella while showering or bathing.
Due to a wide voltage ballast, this unit is designed for a voltage range of 85-264V and can thus be used in many different countries. The system is equipped with a Euro plug and can also be used with an adapter (not included) for other types of plugs.
The UV-C lamp has a natural power loss over its lifetime. We guarantee that after 8,000 hours the lamp will have reached exactly the promised flow rate. After this time the lamp must be changed, the lamp runtime meter and the lifetime monitoring (OTC) will signal the right time. The hours that the lamp is on are counted and the values are output via an LED display. Up to 7,000 hours a green LED lights up, between 7,000 and 8,000 hours the pre-alarm is indicated by a yellow LED and after 8,000 hours a red LED lights up. Thus, the right time to change the lamp is not missed.
This UV-C disinfection system from PURION meets all the technical requirements of the Drinking Water Ordinance. The used stainless steel 1.4571 is also used in the food industry and therefore meets the standard. In compliance with the prescribed maximum flow rate, the required UV-C dose of 400 J/m² is achieved with a UV-C transmission of 90% T1 cm. This UV-C system thus achieves a disinfection rate of 99.99%, which is required by law. For trademark protection reasons, this system does not have a DVGW certificate, so in individual cases it must be clarified with the health authority whether the UV-C disinfection system can be used.
In addition to the system, this bundle also includes another spare lamp, the matching mounting frame and a service kit for intensive cleaning.
