With the help of the PURION 1000 H can be used to specifically kill legionella in a hot water circuit based on the physical principle of UV-C disinfection. In this type of disinfection, the water is illuminated with UV-C light, which dissolves DNA compounds. This reliably kills legionella, better and above all more efficiently than other methods. Particularly in energy-saving systems, such as when water is heated by a solar panel with heat exchanger, borderline temperature ranges of 40-50°C are reached, in which legionella feel very comfortable. The popular but extremely expensive trick of heating the water to 70°C makes little sense here, as the electricity saved by the solar panel becomes superfluous. To avoid this expensive solution, UV-C disinfection is an option. Thanks to a very energy-saving lamp with an exceptionally long service life, additional money can be saved here. It even pays off when used in single-family homes with up to 6 people. With the PURION 1000 H, you can be sure that you will not contract a disinfection disease caused by legionella when showering or bathing.
Thanks to a wide-voltage ballast, this system is designed for a voltage range of 85-264V and can therefore be used in many different countries. The system is equipped with a Euro plug and can also be used for other plug types with an adapter (not included).
The UV-C lamp has a natural power drop over the course of its service life. We guarantee that after 8,000 hours the lamp will have reached exactly the promised flow rate. After this time, the lamp must be replaced; the lamp life meter and the service life monitor (OTC) signal the correct time. The hours in which the lamp is switched on are counted and the values are shown on an LED display. Up to 7,000 hours a green LED lights up, between 7,000 and 8,000 hours the pre-alarm is indicated by a yellow LED and after 8,000 hours a red LED lights up. This ensures that the right time to change the bulb is not missed.
This UV-C disinfection system from PURION meets all the technical requirements of the Drinking Water Ordinance. The 1.4571 stainless steel used is also used in the food industry and therefore meets the standard. The required UV-C dose of 400 J/m² with a UV-C transmission of 90% T1 cm is achieved in compliance with the prescribed maximum flow rate. This UV-C system therefore achieves a disinfection rate of 99.99%, as required by law. For trademark protection reasons, this system does not have a DVGW-Therefore, in individual cases it must be clarified with the health authority whether the UV-C disinfection system can be used.
In addition to the system, this bundle also includes another replacement lamp, the appropriate mounting frame and a service kit for intensive cleaning.
