With a total capacity of 8,000 l/h, the PURION 2500 90W Dual is an extremely large UV-C disinfection system used mainly in hotels and large apartment buildings. Technically, this system is based on two normal PURION 2500 90W connected in series. This doubles the residence time of the water in the system and accordingly more water can be disinfected. The process of UV-C disinfection specifically dissolves the DNA compounds of bacteria and viruses, whereby they are considered to be killed. At the same time, the taste and odor remain unchanged and the composition of the water is preserved. With this low-maintenance and reliable UV-C disinfection system, the lamps can be conveniently changed during operation. Such a change rarely occurs, as the lamps have a very long service life. The PURION 2500 90W Dual gives customers and tenants the assurance of drinking clean and germ-free water.
Due to a wide voltage ballast, this unit is designed for a voltage range of 85-264V and can therefore be used in many different countries. The plant is equipped with a Euro plug and can also be used with an adapter (not included) for other types of plugs.
This plant is a flow-through plant. It requires a low, permanent water flow, because the UV-C lamp heats the water so much that the life of the UV-C lamp can be affected.
The UV-C lamp has a natural decline in performance over its lifetime. We guarantee that after 10,000 hours the lamp will have reached exactly the promised flow rate. After this time the lamp must be changed, the lamp runtime meter and the lifetime monitoring (OTC) will signal the right time. The hours that the lamp is on are counted and the values are output via an LED display. Up to 9,000 hours a green LED lights up, between 9,000 and 10,000 hours the pre-alarm is indicated by a yellow LED and after 10,000 hours a red LED lights up. Thus, the right time to change the lamp is not missed.
This UV-C disinfection system from PURION meets all the technical requirements of the Drinking Water Ordinance. The used stainless steel 1.4571 is also used in the food industry and therefore meets the standard. In compliance with the prescribed maximum flow rate, the required UV-C dose of 400 J/m² is achieved with a UV-C transmission of 90% T1 cm. This UV-C system thus achieves a disinfection rate of 99.99%, which is required by law. For trademark protection reasons, this system does not have a DVGW certificate, so in individual cases it must be clarified with the health authority whether the UV-C disinfection system can be used.
In addition to the system, this bundle also includes another spare lamp, the matching mounting frame and a service kit for intensive cleaning.
