Many headlines in recent months and years have repeatedly referred to the problem of legionella. These bacteria feel particularly at home in hot water circuits, which has led to the health authorities banning showers in some apartments. In this very annoying situation for tenants, the PURION 2500 H can provide a remedy. The landlord can save a lot of costs by using this system instead of heating the water by 20°C to 70°C at an extremely high cost. The principle of UV-C disinfection is based on the fact that the DNA of the legionella bacteria is dissolved and they are reliably killed. Low energy costs and comparatively low replacement lamp costs are easy on the wallet. Thanks to its special design, the UV-C lamp in this system can be replaced during operation, although this will only rarely be necessary due to its long service life. With an output of 5,000 l/h, this UV-C system can easily supply even larger apartment buildings with legionella-free water.
Thanks to a wide-voltage ballast, this system is designed for a voltage range of 85-264V and can therefore be used in many different countries. The system is equipped with a Euro plug and can also be used for other plug types with an adapter (not included).
The UV-C lamp has a natural power drop over the course of its service life. We guarantee that after 8,000 hours the lamp will have reached exactly the promised flow rate. After this time, the lamp must be replaced; the lamp life meter and the service life monitor (OTC) signal the correct time. The hours in which the lamp is switched on are counted and the values are shown on an LED display. Up to 9,000 hours a green LED lights up, between 7,000 and 8,000 hours the pre-alarm is indicated by a yellow LED and after 8,000 hours a red LED lights up. This ensures that the right time to change the bulb is not missed.
This UV-C disinfection system from PURION meets all the technical requirements of the Drinking Water Ordinance. The 1.4571 stainless steel used is also used in the food industry and therefore meets the standard. The required UV-C dose of 400 J/m² with a UV-C transmission of 90% T1 cm is achieved in compliance with the prescribed maximum flow rate. This UV-C system therefore achieves a disinfection rate of 99.99%, as required by law. For trademark reasons, this system does not have a DVGW-Therefore, in individual cases it must be clarified with the health authority whether the UV-C disinfection system can be used.
In addition to the system, this bundle also includes another replacement lamp, the appropriate mounting frame and a service kit for intensive cleaning.
