With a PURION 1000 PVC-U, the health-promoting benefits of a saltwater pool can be fully enjoyed. Saltwater is very gentle on the skin, it protects the skin from drying out and is very soothing for the eye mucous membranes. Therefore, cleaning with chlorine is absolutely not appropriate for this special form of pool. The advantages that arise from saltwater are negated by the disadvantages that come with cleaning with chlorine. The UV-C cleaning process with the PURION 1000 P is ecologically and economically much better suited here. UV-C light dissolves the DNA bonds of algae and bacteria, so they are considered dead. With the PURION 1000 P, the UV-C cleaning process can be applied to a pool up to 10m³. In doing so, the composition of the water is not altered in any way, unlike when using chlorine. Especially with a health-promoting product like a saltwater pool, it is therefore absolutely necessary to carry out a health-compatible cleaning of the pool.
Thanks to a wide voltage ballast, this system is designed for a voltage range of 85-264V and can thus be used in many different countries. The system is equipped with a Euro plug and can also be used for other plug types with an adapter (not included).
The UV-C lamp has a natural performance drop over its lifetime. We guarantee that the lamp will have reached the promised flow rate after 10,000 hours. After this time, the lamp must be replaced, and the lamp runtime counter and lifetime monitoring (OTC) signal the right time. The hours the lamp is on are counted and the values are displayed via an LED display. Up to 9,000 hours, a green LED lights up, between 9,000 and 10,000 hours, a yellow LED indicates the pre-alarm, and after 10,000 hours, a red LED lights up. This ensures that the right time for lamp replacement is not missed.
Due to the PVC reactor, this system is suitable for saltwater. Since the welds of stainless steel are attacked by the salt, there is no alternative to PVC for the saltwater area.
To keep a pool permanently free of algae, the correct coordination between the pump and the UV-C system is necessary. It is important that at least three times the pool volume flows through the UV-C system per day. The maximum flow rate of 3m³/h should not be exceeded, as this will result in the water not being properly disinfected. In certain cases, it is necessary to run the system longer: This is urgently required, for example, after heavy rainfall or if the water has been in the pool over the winter.
In an unfavorable starting situation with a lot of algae, it can be advantageous to use a biological flocculant to support the UV-C system.
In this Bundle, in addition to the system, an additional replacement lamp, the appropriate mounting frame, and a service kit for intensive cleaning are included.
