The MAX compact system from PURION includes a PURION UV-C disinfection layer with three pre-filters. This system enables a complete water treatment chain, which looks like this:

The particle filter filters suspended particles with a grain size of 60 microns.
The deferrization filter increases the performance of the UV-C disinfection system by filtering iron out of the water.
The activated carbon filter helps to improve odor and taste and filters carbon-based chemicals, such as acetone, from the water.
The UV-C disinfection system disinfects the water and kills bacteria, germs and viruses.
With the help of the 12V connection, this system can be operated with a 12V power supply unit, cigarette lighter or a photovoltaic panel. The entire system is housed in a robust aluminum frame and is already fully pre-assembled. Thanks to the simple integration, the entire system can be replaced using the tools supplied or even without tools.

Why does the UV-C lamp have to be replaced after 10,000 hours even though it is still working?

Every UV-C lamp has a technical drop in UV-C output. The manufacturer guarantees that the system will still achieve 60% UV-C output after 10,000 hours. The data given for the systems always refers to this 60% output. However, from a running time of 10,000 hours, the drop in output continues to increase. This means that the lamp is still working, but there is no longer enough UV-C output for an optimum disinfection result.

When do I need service life monitoring?

Lifetime monitoring is recommended for all users who do not leave the system switched on permanently. It is recommended that the lamp is replaced every 10,000 hours, as the manufacturer does not guarantee its performance beyond this, i.e. the amount of UV-C radiation required for safe disinfection.

How do I know which UV-C system is right for me?

The correct dimensioning of the systems is not based on the maximum daily consumption but on the expected maximum peak rate and is therefore dependent on the performance of the pump.

What do I need to consider when installing 12V DC and 24V DC systems?

It must be ensured that no power supply units with pulsed voltage are used, as this can cause irreparable damage to the system.

Can the system be operated with photovoltaic panels?

Yes, this is possible. However, the use of a battery is always recommended for igniting the lamp. In addition, a solar regulator should always be used.
