The compact system MAX from PURION includes a PURION UV-C disinfection unit with three pre-filters. This system allows for a complete water treatment chain, which is as follows:

  • The particle filter filters suspended particles with a grain size of 60 microns.
  • The iron removal filter enhances the performance of the UV-C disinfection unit by filtering iron from the water.
  • The activated carbon filter contributes to odor and taste improvement and filters carbon-based chemicals, such as acetones, from the water.
  • The UV-C disinfection unit disinfects the water and kills bacteria, germs, and viruses.
  • With the help of power connections 110–240 V AC (50/60 Hz), 12 V DC, or 24 V DC, this unit can be operated with a power supply, cigarette lighter, or a photovoltaic panel. The entire unit is housed in a robust aluminum frame and is already fully pre-assembled. Thanks to easy integration, the complete system can be changed using the supplied tools or even without tools.

Every UV-C lamp exhibits a technically induced decline in UV-C performance. The manufacturer guarantees that the system will still achieve 60% UV-C performance after 10,000 hours. The specified data for the systems always refer to this 60% performance. However, after 10,000 hours of operation, the performance decline continues to increase. Therefore, the lamp still works, but it no longer produces enough UV-C performance for optimal disinfection results.

Lifespan monitoring is recommended for all users who do not keep the system permanently switched on. A lamp replacement every 10,000 hours is recommended, as the manufacturer does not guarantee performance beyond that, meaning the amount of UV-C radiation dose necessary for safe disinfection.

The correct sizing of the systems is not based on the maximum daily consumption but on the expected maximum peak rate and is therefore dependent on the pump's performance.

It should be noted that no power supplies with pulsed voltage should be used, as this can cause irreparable damage to the system.
