Hotel facilities with a large saltwater pool up to 100m³ offer their customers a valuable, health-promoting product: saltwater is gentle on the skin and protects it from drying out. With the PURION 2501 P Dual, these health benefits can be fully utilized. The UV-C disinfection process, with which the PURION 2501 P Dual operates, cleans the water in a natural way. Inside the system, flowing water is specifically illuminated with UV-C light, dissolving the DNA connections of algae and bacteria, causing them to die. The water's taste and smell are not altered, and it retains its composition. This is exactly where the disadvantage of cleaning with chlorine lies: chemicals are added to the water, which remain permanently in the water and counteract the health-promoting benefits of saltwater. With the help of the PURION 2501 P Dual, the saltwater pool can be cleaned as healthily as the saltwater pool affects humans.
Thanks to a wide voltage ballast, this system is designed for a voltage range of 85-264V and can thus be used in many different countries. The system is equipped with a Euro plug and can also be used for other plug types with an adapter (not included).
The UV-C lamp has a natural performance drop over its lifetime. We guarantee you that the lamp will have reached the promised flow performance after 10,000 hours. After this time, the lamp must be replaced, and the lamp runtime counter and lifetime monitoring (OTC) signal the right time. The hours the lamp is on are counted, and the values are displayed via an LED indicator. Up to 9,000 hours, a green LED lights up, between 9,000 and 10,000 hours, a pre-alarm with a yellow LED is displayed, and after 10,000 hours, a red LED lights up. This way, the right time for a lamp change is not missed.
Due to the PVC reactor, this system is suitable for saltwater. Since the weld seams of stainless steel are attacked by salt, there is no alternative to PVC for the saltwater area.
To keep a pool permanently free of algae, the correct coordination between the pump and the UV-C system is necessary. It is important that at least three times the pool volume flows through the UV-C system per day. The maximum flow rate of 20m³/h should not be exceeded, as this will result in the water not being properly disinfected. In certain cases, it is necessary to let the system run longer: this is urgently required, for example, after heavy rainfall or if the water has been in the pool over the winter.
In an unfavorable starting situation with a lot of algae, it can be advantageous to use a biological flocculant to support the UV-C system.
In this Bundle, in addition to the system, an additional replacement lamp, the appropriate mounting frame, and a service kit for intensive cleaning are included.
