Cleaning a pool is the key to preventing the water in an expensive pool from turning green quickly and losing the fun of swimming. There are various approaches to cleaning, the best known of which is chemical cleaning using chlorine. This method not only uses the chemical chlorine, but also other chemicals such as pH value boosters and reducers as well as flocculants. It is not only the algae that suffer from these chemicals, but also the people: Everyone is familiar with red, burning eyes from the swimming pool. With the PURION 2501, the pool can be cleaned in a different, much more modern way. The physical process of UV-C disinfection destroys the DNA compounds of the algae and bacteria and the dead material is collected by backwash or sand filters. This process is good for health and the environment, and your wallet benefits from low follow-up costs. With the PURION 2501 can be used to clean a pool of up to 50m³ very efficiently, taking ecological and economic aspects into account.
Thanks to a wide-voltage ballast, this system is designed for a voltage range of 85-264V and can therefore be used in many different countries. The system is equipped with a Euro plug and can also be used for other plug types with an adapter (not included).
The UV-C lamp has a natural power drop over the course of its service life. We guarantee that after 10,000 hours the lamp will have reached exactly the promised flow rate. After this time, the lamp must be replaced; the lamp life meter and the service life monitor (OTC) signal the right time. The hours in which the lamp is switched on are counted and the values are shown on an LED display. Up to 9,000 hours a green LED lights up, between 9,000 and 10,000 hours the pre-alarm is indicated by a yellow LED and after 10,000 hours a red LED lights up. This ensures that the right time to change the bulb is not missed.
To keep a pool permanently free of algae, the pump and UV-C system must be correctly coordinated. At least three times the pool volume should flow through the UV-C system during the day. The maximum flow rate of 14m³/h should not be exceeded, as this would result in the water no longer being disinfected correctly. In certain cases, it is necessary to run the system for longer: This is urgently required after heavy rainfall, for example, or if the water has been standing in the pool over the winter.
In an unfavorable initial situation with a lot of algae, it can be advantageous to use a biological flocculant to support the UV-C system.
In addition to the system, this bundle also includes another replacement lamp, the appropriate mounting frame and a service kit for intensive cleaning.
